Visitors to the Royal Ontario Museum will be able to dine from menus redesigned by its new executive chef, Corbin Tomaszeski.

The ROM, in partnership with Restaurant Associates, announced the chef's appointment Thursday.

Tomaszeski is designing new menus for the elegant c5 Restaurant Lounge located at the pinnacle of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, the 325-seat casual Food Studio Cafe and the ROM's catering service, c5 Catering.

Tomaszeski, who has worked as a chef for more than 20 years, including at Holt Renfrew Toronto, is also television host and food expert on "Dinner Party Wars," "Restaurant Makeover" and "Crash My Kitchen" on Food Network and HGTV Canada.

"The ROM is an iconic Toronto destination bringing people together to celebrate nature and culture. Dining at the ROM’s restaurants reflect the museum’s heritage through food.”

Guests at c5 will be served the chef’s truffle potato chips with fleur de sel and fresh herbs. A signature main dish is a lobster BLT salad, with applewood-smoked bacon, crispy fried tomatoes, romaine hearts and tarragon dressing. Food Studio Cafe serves freshly made salads, pizza, soup and sandwiches.

Ted Corrado, c5’s former executive chef, has been promoted to regional executive chef for Compass Leisure, a subsidiary of Compass Group Canada. Corrado will provide culinary oversight of leisure properties across the country.
